Through Connected Minds, Gareth strives to continue raising awareness around online safety risks that affect both children and adults and provide practical advice that can empower positive behaviour change. He can provide engaging and age appropriate education sessions for children aged 3-18 and tailored training for parents/carers and the children’s workforce.

About Gareth

Gareth Cort is an independent online safety specialist who provides advice, training and resources to schools and other educational settings.

He is a former primary school teacher and school governor with a wealth of experience in both education and online safety.

Prior to starting his own company, Gareth was an Education Manager at Childnet International, one of the leading children’s charities in online safety and part of the UK Safer Internet Centre. He was responsible for managing and delivering education sessions in schools across the UK and was part of the team responsible for developing free high quality educational resources for young people, parents/carers and professionals.

Gareth has also worked collaboratively with other children’s charities, the internet industry and government departments. He also previously sat on the UKCCIS Education Working Group, responsible for producing useful online safety guidance for schools.

Gareth is also an accredited 360 Degree Safe Online Safety Mark Assessor and can also provide advice and consultancy services for schools on developing effective and impactful online safety policy and practice.
