Through Connected Minds, Gareth strives to continue raising awareness around online safety issues that affect both children and adults and provide practical advice that can empower positive behaviour change. He can provide engaging and age-appropriate education sessions for children aged 3-18 and tailored training for parents/carers and the children’s workforce.
About Gareth
Gareth Cort has over 14 years’ experience as an independent online safety specialist, providing advice, training and resources to schools and other educational settings.
He is a former primary school teacher and school governor with a wealth of experience in both education and online safeguarding.
Gareth has experience working on behalf of the UK Safer Internet Centre to deliver education sessions in schools across the UK as well as developing free high quality educational resources for young people, parents/carers and professionals.
He has also worked at the European level, developing educational resources and training materials on issues such as online bullying, hate speech, media literacy and the EU Digital Services Act.
Gareth is also an accredited 360 Degree Safe Online Safety Mark Assessor and can also provide advice and consultancy services for schools on developing effective and impactful online safety policy and practice.
